About Steve Rich

Steve Rich Growing up as a Navy kid, I bounced around the East Coast before settling in Aiken, South Carolina in 1966. The warm climate was a big draw for my family. Speaking of family, I'm the oldest of five kids, and have been happily married for 44 years. My two daughters are both educated and married, and they're always there to lend a hand. I'm also a proud grandparent of three little ones who keep me busy and in shape as they are always on the go.

After working at the Savannah River Site for 37.5 years, I'm now retired and enjoying my hobbies. I love working on home projects, exploring the backroads of South Carolina, camping, and taking photos of the great outdoors. Speaking of photography, my favorite quote is 'The best resides within the photographer, not the camera. We develop from our negatives.'

When it comes to favorite places, I can't get enough of Charleston, Port Royal, and of course, Aiken. I also love traveling the back roads of South Carolina and capturing unique images. You can even find some of my photos on the South Carolina Picture Project and Instagram. I'm a proud contributor to the South Carolina Picture Project and the admin for the Fine Art America Group called The Meandering Photographer.
