This morning, I had the incredible opportunity to capture the sheer beauty of this remarkable bird at the Pitt Street Bridge in the picturesque Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. It was an absolutely awe-inspiring experience! As we leisurely strolled along the path towards the bridge's end, engaging in delightful conversations with numerous individuals, the morning unfolded into something truly extraordinary. The atmosphere exuded warmth and kindness, emanating from every person we encountered. And let me assure you, the wildlife was simply abundant! Arriving at low tide, we were treated to a mesmerizing spectacle of wildlife indulging in their natural habitat. It was a morning filled with wonder and excitement, leaving me utterly captivated.
Growing up as a Navy kid, I bounced around the East Coast before settling in Aiken, South Carolina in 1966. The warm climate was a big draw for my family. Speaking of family, I am the oldest of five and have been happily married for 44 years. My two daughters are both educated, married, and they are always there to lend a hand. I am also a proud grandparent of three little ones who keep me busy and happy. After working at the Savannah River Site for 37.5 years, I am now retired and enjoying my hobbies. I love working on home projects, exploring the backroads of South Carolina, camping, and taking photos of the great outdoors.
