Aiken Brewing Company, one of our beloved watering holes, was situated in the heart of downtown Aiken. This textured image was captured during the early hours of the morning, while the city was still shrouded in darkness. Unfortunately, the Aiken Brewing Company has permanently closed its doors, leaving behind a legacy of great memories and delicious brews.
Growing up as a Navy kid, I bounced around the East Coast before settling in Aiken, South Carolina in 1966. The warm climate was a big draw for my family. Speaking of family, I am the oldest of five and have been happily married for 44 years. My two daughters are both educated, married, and they are always there to lend a hand. I am also a proud grandparent of three little ones who keep me busy and happy. After working at the Savannah River Site for 37.5 years, I am now retired and enjoying my hobbies. I love working on home projects, exploring the backroads of South Carolina, camping, and taking photos of the great outdoors.
