Description
Prior to the test, the sky was a brilliant blue and the river was tranquil, giving the impression that the weather was clearing up. However, as the test commenced, the sky became overcast, the wind picked up from the flow of water, the temperature dropped, and the sound intensified. Each time the gates were opened, brownish water was visible at first, but it cleared up almost immediately. The entire test lasted approximately two hours, running a bit behind schedule with a start time of 1:20 pm and a finish time of 3:20 pm. The experience was truly awe-inspiring, and stunning images were captured using a Canon 7D MkII on a tripod. It's worth noting that Lake Strom Thurmond, also known as J. Strom Thurmond Reservoir at the federal level and Clarks Hill Lake by the state of Georgia, is a reservoir located at the border between Georgia and South Carolina in the Savannah River Basin.
