Here the dam undergoes a test of the spill gates. Before the test, we had blue skies and a very calm river, it appeared that the skies were clearing. As the test ran, the skies clouded up, the wind picked up from the flow of water, the temperature dropped and the sound increased. Each time they opened a gate, brownish water seen first, it cleared almost immediately. The entire test took about 2 hours. They ran a bit late, started about 1:20 pm, finished about 3:20 pm. It was awesome.
