Description
I just found out today, October 16, 2020, the Folly Beach Pier will close in two days for the next two years, a new pier is coming! I hate that, this is my favorite South Carolina pier to photograph at sunrise. The article said ship worms are the culprit, 14 million dollar project to take 28 months.
===============================
This is sunrise on the Folly Beach Pier in Folly Beach South Carolina. This 1,045-ft. fishing pier with a tackle shop is a busy destination with scenic ocean views.
Breathtaking views of the "Edge of America" are just some of the possibilities at the Edwin S. Taylor Folly Beach Fishing Pier, where you can find some of the best saltwater fishing in the area. The pier stretches 1,045 feet into the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and at 25-feet wide and 23-feet above sea level, the pier is the second longest on the east coast.
